The world of work today is more complex and changing faster than it was when our parents grew up. The changes
are making new demands on all of us as students, employees, employers, and industry and state leaders. Individuals
need more education for today’s jobs. Businesses need deeper, more diverse talent pools. And states must make
investments in workforce improvement if they expect to spur economic growth. In order to compete at the state
and national levels, we must adapt and improve.
